About

Presents

I give you an emptiness

I give you a plentitude

unwrap them carefully.

-one's as fragile as the other-

and when you thank me

I'll pretend not to notice the doubt in your voice

when you say theyr'e just what you wanted.

Put them on the table by your bed.

When you wake in the morning

they'll have gone through the door of sleep

into your head. Whenever you go

they'll go with you and

wherever you are you'll wonder,

smiling about the fullness

you can't add to and the emptiness

you can fill.

“thank you for this beautiful poem”.
Marvelous are Your works Oh Lord! amazingly designed everything, for us to see, so to long for You, just because, that through plentitude or in emptiness we should see beyond, beauty or terror, proclaiming “WOW”! Your magnificent Presence that surrounds us and in us, is all that we need… all Glory and Honor are Yours now and forever!!!

I thought I would share this prayer with you…
    Good Morning.
Please pause for a moment, if you can, for our morning reflection:
Of all the things technology has given us, we are impressed today that one is the ability to be instantly aware of events around the globe. The devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan is suddenly in our living rooms – in high def. And we are awed by visual images that are akin to Hollywood movies – but real.
But this connection stretches to more than curiosity. It touches our heartstrings. It stirs us, within. It awakens within us what we know in the back of our minds: that we are really one community, one people, and that we are all connected to each other in the web of life. And it moves us to reach out – to help, to work and to pray.
    Loving God:
This day, in addition to the cares in our own lives, we hold before you our brothers and sisters, our parents and children in Japan. May your mercy be upon them; may your comfort be upon those who grieve; your peace within those who fear; your strength within those who labor; your wisdom to those who lead. God of grace: As your one people, we hold each other in our hearts. Amen.
