Caregivers have superpowers! Radical Loving Care illuminates the divine truth that caregiving is not just a job. It is Sacred Work.

About

Ralph Ellison 1914-1994

Ralph Ellison, the brilliant author, said more in forty words from his transcendent book, The Invisible Man,  than have I in all the words I have ever used.

"I am invisible, understand, simply because people refuse to see me," Ellison's character says…

"Life is to be lived, not controlled, and humanity is won by continuing to play in face of certain defeat.

"When I discover who I am, I'll be free."

It is easy to see why this is my son Tyler's favorite quote.

Thank you, Mr. Ellison.

I remember watching the Invisible Man TV series as a kid. I loved the show but boy, I really missed the boat on the deeper meaning. I am now motivated to read Ellison’s book. Thank you, Erie.

You did not miss the boat because the T.V. series is not in any way connected to the book by Ellison. Very understandable & hopefully will lead you to the book itself – a difficult, very troubling, multiple award winning story that is hard to pick up, hard to wade through & hard to put down. As powerful an insight into human/spiritual suffering of a particular kind as I have ever read.

This is very uplifting and speaks to all of our lives and especially pertinent today. The caregivers were my Mother’s angels, and we are forever grateful. Hopefully everyday we evolve and are more aware of seeing everyone.
A sincere thank you to Erie Chapman for this post.

Thank you, Erie. Ellison’s quote is powerful and so worth reflecting on. Yes, I want to read his book as my eyes are opening to so much that escaped my awareness and I want to continue on the journey of understanding and learning more to become a vessel for change.
