Journal of Sacred Work

Caregivers have superpowers! Radical Loving Care illuminates the divine truth that caregiving is not just a job. It is Sacred Work.

About

"I am not bound for any public place, but for ground of my own where I have planted vines and orchard trees, and in the heat of the day climbed up into the healing shadow of the woods." ~Wendell Berry

In the Garden of My Heart

Oh Sun, giver of light affirmation

Shining empty on my garden wall

Oh wind, breathe life

into my shadow’s dance

A form

less, silent design

Honor disquiet, knowing

my heart sees you as precious

Take the hidden journey

To seek One true

Our strength lies in

opening to receive

a little kindness

eases heaviness, for

give and pretenses

fall away

Releasing fear

our sweetest joy

Oh sacred song,

let us lose ourselves

for you to find

Unending Love, Divine

 ~liz

Wishing you a peace filled day…in your garden.

Thank you Liz for reminding us to slow down and enjoy our gardens that we have planted…our roses, our friendships and our faith. The light shines for us to grow. Bloom where you are planted, that is where our strength lies. Blessing !!

Thank you dear ones, your loving affirmations blossom within flowering in gratitude…
I leave you with this quote from Sr. Madaleva,
    In a world without walls-
    Hearts open,
    Hands reach across,
And the only borders that are left are flowers… Amen

Liz, I enjoyed the nice watercolors of lovely flowers and the sweet and inviting poem. This was a sunny weekend to be among the flowers, the sun and loved ones…
