About

Clouds-3-peek
There are times when I am so absorbed in thought that my eyes are fixed on the pavement as I walk along. Then perhaps a gentle breeze stirs and I look up.

 Have you ever been there?

In that small act of looking up something within us shifts. Suddenly, we find ourselves gazing into a majestic expansiveness of sky. When I consider all the treasures in nature, my favorite are clouds. Ever changing, shape shifting or sailing by on sea of blue, clouds entice our imagination. Depending on the day, they might even invite us into a favorite game of make believe. Do you remember that magical day, lying in a field of tall grass, in love, staring skyward, daydreaming? What did you see? Hand of God Cloud Is it an eagle, a dragon, angel’s wings, a sign?  Can you see the hand of God in this photo?

I live in a densely populated metropolitan area with lots of building structures, cars, and concrete. Yet, no matter where we are, we can look heavenward and instantly connect with the Source of our being. In the midst of a busy day, we can take a moment to look out a window or step out the door for Beauty to envelop us.

When traveling in an airplane we may catch a glimpse from on high to see oceans and rivers of clouds magnificence. Clouds refresh our earth with life giving water for our fields and crops to grow, as birds sing their song of renewed blessing. Ah, but clouds give so much more.

Feather Cloud Have you noticed the way clouds mirror our spirits; sometimes light as a feather, other times tumultuous, angry, grey, even sullen; maybe completely absent from us? As we watch, clouds perform the great dance of life; in a mixture of translucent opalescence, gorgeous of hues all at once burning passionate then naturally giving way into a calm starry night.

Looking toward the sky laying on your back under a tree, you can see the sun’s race filtering and dancing through the wind-blown leaves. Like a child, squint or partially close your eyes and glimmers of rainbow-like colors parade before you. Wasting time like this brings one closer to God who speaks through nature for those who gaze at the sky or lay under trees.

How beautiful, Liz! Thank you. The fingers of God often appear in the clouds reaching out to me with welcome, light and love. Liz, your words, drawings, pictures and you tube selection were the Fingers of God for me this morning. May you continue to be enthralled by Beauty.

Life seems to offer us so little time as we get older to really see things around us and take in their beauty like clouds. One must take the time to see the real world around him.

Thank you Liz for taking me back to those child hood days on the farm, laying in a green pasture, looking up at the sky in amazement.Hunting for animal shapes or watching the clouds race with each other. Today I laid in the back yard and studied the sky. Keeping in touch with our surroundings in this busy world, keeping in touch with our Spirit that mirrors the simple faith of a child…… a great reminder Liz. Once again I am blessed by the Journal.

Infinite possibility. I think a good rule might be: When bogged down, look up!

Liz, these are the days when the skies speak to us more, especially since our evenings get to stay lighter a little longer. How wonderful for you to direct us to this never-ending colorful mural!
