Caregivers have superpowers! Radical Loving Care illuminates the divine truth that caregiving is not just a job. It is Sacred Work.

About

St. Frances“If planetary peace seems beyond our reach recall:

Miracles are natural when we rely on the Source of All to carry our burdens with us.

Then even peace is possible.”                                                         ~ Nan Merill and Barbara Taylor

"Any great virtue (hope, faith, love) requires our full attention and participation in our lives…if the virtue is going to become a reality.

We cannot say that we want to be loved, and…

…then not love and support others.

We cannot say that we want a country that is at peace, and…

…then say that we hate a particular group of citizens that make up our country.

We must be co-creating, (with God and one another) the world in which, we want to live and be in; if we are able to do so, planetary peace can become much more than a lofty dream."

And how much we need peace in our world today, Liz. Thank you for reminding us of the gentlest of saints who embraced Peace and shared it unconditionally. Let us not only follow Francis and the Pope who bears his name but all of those who strive to make their part of the world more welcoming, loving and joyful. Let us join with Thomas Merton in his prayer for peace: Grant light, grant strength and patience to all who work for peace …. Grant us prudence in proportion to our power, wisdom in proportion to our science, humanness in proportion to our wealth and might. And bless our earnest will to help all races and people to travel, in friendship with us, along the road to justice, liberty and lasting peace.

It really is a ripple effect. If we seek peace with ourselves and the others around us, then it expands, and blesses and flows. Thank you!

I agree with Julie and, of course, with you, Liz and the fine people you have quoted. Our spirits can expand and embrace others in light. Also, I love your wood-toned image of St. Francis!

Many people, including myself, have come across misfortunes. Some may be greater than the others. Unfortunately, it can also breed anger and hatred towards others. I hope that the peace and love that were once present can be found again and help break the cycle. It is easier said than done but we can always start within ourselves.
