A time to love and a time to forgive

for there is no time to hate

A time to love

and the time is now.

A time to end all war…

and the warring within.

A time for peace

and a change of heart

Beautiful words, but I am finding them difficult to accept as our country faces such dire and dangerous times! I read this piece two times and the second time I realized how badly I need to hear this message.
And there is also a time to govern–and it has not worked–and a time to impeach, and the time is now, sad, but true.
But I still love life, family, and friends deeply, and try to lead a worthwhile and peaceful existence. I truly pray that all peoples, everywhere, of all descriptions and persuasions, could also find a peaceful pathway into our shared futures on planet Earth, Amen!

From these old Hebrew texts we see the Love of God and the balance that God brings. These texts could easily be from Buddha, the Gita, Jain or most of the world’s religions. Sr. Therese Sweeney expounds on verse 11 in a most elegant way.
When we see an imbalance in the world, an increase perhaps of things we call evil, sometimes we inhale the essence of this “evil” thought and start to have a hate in our heart. We must overcome this temptation to become “like them” and find the spiritual path of Love. Be there for Love. Love needs your love. Reach down inside and find the strength to spread this gravitational wave of Love that can change the heart. Picture E.T and the glowing finger touching the heart, finding the embrace of Home.
