Mothers Day Collage2021

A mother's love determines how
We love ourselves and others.
There is no sky we'll ever see
Not lit by that first love.

Stripped of love, the universe
Would drive us mad with pain,
But we are born into a world
That greets our cries with joy.

How much I owe you for the kiss
That told me who I was!
The greatest gift–a love of life–
Lay laughing in your eyes.

Because of you my world still has
The soft grace of your smile,
And every wind of fortune bears
The scent of your caress.

On this Mother’s Day w/e I invite you to sit back and close your eyes as you listen to this song and reflect upon the feminine energy, the Earth Mother energy that has informed and blessed your life.

"May the long time sun shine upon you

All love surround you

And the pure light within you

Guide your way on

By Mike Heron

May you receive this blessing from my heart to yours!

What a treat as we give thanks for so many who pour themselves out in motherly love, care compassion, joy and …. on and on does a mother express her love. Thank you Liz for the sensitive way in which you have captured the essence of Mother’s Day. Do hope you have been spoilt today!

    “A mother’s love determines how

What an overwhelming responsibility. And you have carried this out perfectly, Liz. Beyond your own children, you have poured your love into the hearts of so many others that you have been a “mother” to countless people. At times when their hearts have felt empty, you have filled them up from the bounteous gifts of your endless love.
    Thank you

Mothers are superheroes. Forget Captain America and Iron Mac. Leave Batman and and the Flash in the dustbin. Mothers are truly wonder women. Raising their own children. Helping others grown. Babysitting the neighbors kids. Teachers, caregivers and scientists. Able to jump over giant obstacles to get a project done so they can be at their child’s recital or play. Some spend Christmas in flying machines like a space station. Some are praying to their lord for Peace in their lifetime and end to wars. They are praying for Love and that others, including their own, may find Love and inner peace. All days are for mothers. Without their nurturing we cannot be…
Thank you Liz for the poetry you brought today and the poetry of your life.
