The Way of One

We do make a difference.

One heart and one life at a time.

We seek to remember that blessing comes in meeting the authentic call of the moment with greater compassion.

There are always inner voices that focus on what is wrong in ourselves, in others, and in our world.

There are always opportunities to act unkindly. But each moment offers us the opportunity to step into our freedom with greater awareness.

The Way of One is a Way of deep compassion, healing, and forgiveness.

It's a choice we are challenged to make again and again.

~Rabbi Ted Falcon

There is such wisdom contained in Rabbi Ted Falcon’s expression. Sometimes the overwhelming great need of our world can create a sense of hopelessness. Or what can I do to make a difference? This is why I find his message so heartening and hope-filled. We do make a difference. Our smile at a passerby, a stranger could offer a seed of hope in someone who feels excluded. The smile we offer is as healing for us as for them, equal in blessing, equal in Love, are we Sparks of the Divine, for we are one.

Yes. “One heart and one life at a time” and I love his comment that “There are always opportunities to act unkindly…” May we take those same moments and convert them to acts of kindess.

There is something about your mandala Liz that draws me deeper, to focus on the simplicity and beauty of the butterfly. We too can make a difference, as you and Rabbi Ted suggest, by the simplicity and beauty of our lives. May our inner Spirit shine forth drawing others to love and hope.
    Thank you Liz.
