In June of each year the Jacaranda trees bloom in a glorious array of lavender hues. The Jacaranda trees throughout our city seem to bloom in union and one can’t help but be struck in awe by their elegance and glorious canopies. As I walk the neighborhood, I stroll under the purple canopy with celebratory flower petals covering the sidewalks and I am stunned by her wondrous beauty.
Some people our unhappy with the petals that fall and stain the sidewalk as they can be viewed as messy but oh how incredibly worth it to be enveloped by nature’s exquisite blessing.
"…the care of the earth is our
most ancient
and most worthy and, after all,
our most pleasing responsibility.
To cherish what remains of it,
and to foster its renewal,
is our only legitimate hope."
